Relationship

Why most youths are still single

In the streets of Ghana, where the energy of youth meets the struggle to survive, the addition of ‘dating’ only intensifies the pressure. Amidst economic turmoil, some young women view relationships as a ‘business’, expecting monthly allowances from their partners. But for these young men, already burdened with unresolved issues, such demands only worsen their predicament.

Imagine a man grappling with his own challenges suddenly confronted with a partner seeking financial support. Such a situation often leads to the dissolution of the relationship, leaving him to navigate life’s hurdles solo until he feels prepared for another shot at love.

Yet, relationships should be a mutual exchange of support, where both parties uplift each other. When success eventually comes knocking, a true partner will have shared in the journey, understanding the sacrifices made along the way.

On the flip side, many women find themselves single, grappling with the aftermath of past traumas and the fear of being used and discarded. The prevalence of sexual abuse further complicates matters, leaving many hesitant to trust again.

To find a compatible partner, one must remain steadfast in prayer and exercise patience. Rushing into relationships based solely on surface impressions can lead to heartache and ruin. It is crucial to discern character beyond appearances, as the right partner can be a catalyst for success, while the wrong one can spell disaster.
